Leiden, 8 October 2026 – SeraNovo, a formulation technology company specialising in improving oral bioavailability for poorly soluble and beyond Rule of Five (bRo5) molecules, has won the Finished Formulation category at the CPHI Pharma Awards 2026 in Milan for its proprietary NanoGlass™ technology.
The winning entry, “NanoGlass™, a formulation platform for oral BCS IV and bRo5 drugs,” reflects SeraNovo’s commitment to overcoming oral drug delivery challenges and helping pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners advance promising molecules.
Recognition for Innovation in Oral Drug Delivery
Poor solubility and limited permeability remain significant challenges in developing effective oral medicines, particularly for Biopharmaceutics Classification System (BCS) Class IV and beyond Rule of 5 (bRo5) molecules.
NanoGlass™ addresses these challenges by generating and stabilising amorphous drug nanoparticles in the gastrointestinal tract, improving dissolution and permeability. Through its three formulation platforms, SeraNovo develops formulations tailored to the properties of each molecule, with a focus on bioavailability, drug loading, stability and scalable manufacturing. The award marks an exciting milestone for SeraNovo and recognizes the scientific work behind the technology
