SeraNovo is a drug formulation company specializing in oral drug delivery and bioavailability enhancement for poorly soluble compounds.
Founded in 2017 and based in Leiden, Netherlands, we partner with biotech and pharmaceutical companies to turn promising molecules into effective therapies.

Why drug delivery still fails
A large proportion of modern drug candidates fail due to formulation and delivery challenges, not lack of efficacy. As molecules become increasingly complex, including beyond Rule of 5 (bRo5) compounds, protein degraders, and peptides, issues such as poor solubility, limited absorption, and high variability have become more prevalent.
SeraNovo focuses on solving these oral bioavailability challenges at the source, enabling complex and poorly soluble molecules to succeed in development.

Our technology
NanoGlass™ is SeraNovo’s proprietary drug formulation technology designed to enhance oral bioavailability of poorly soluble compounds.
Unlike conventional approaches such as spray drying or hot melt extrusion, NanoGlass™ generates and stabilizes amorphous drug nanoparticles in situ, improving solubility, dissolution, and absorption while maintaining the stability and scalability required for development.
We offer four NanoGlass™ platforms GlassE™, GlassA™, HyGlass™, and LiGlass™ each tailored to specific molecule types and development stages. NanoGlass™ is particularly well-suited for increasingly complex and beyond Rule of 5 (bRo5) compounds where conventional formulation approaches struggle.
